We created the coordinated image for the exhibition dedicated to the myth of Danae, curated by Carlo Sala. “Danae Revisited” connects the historical painting by the Rococo artist Antonio Bellucci (1654 1726), recently acquired by the Fondazione Francesco Fabbri, with the works of nineteen contemporary artists.

Paola Angelini, Thomas Braida, Chiara Calore, Nebojsa Despotovic, Luca De Angelis, Zehra Dogan, Barbara De Vivi, Christian Fogarolli, Alessandro Fogo, Matteo Fato, Oscar Giaconia, Giuseppe Gonella, Iva Lulashi, Luisa Mé- Luca Colangiacomo, Francesco Pasquini, Giulio Saverio Rossi, Nicola Samor, Davide Serpetti, Marta Spagnoli, and Shafei Xia are the authors who have questioned the contemporary and vibrant meaning of the female myth of Danae a favourite subject in paintings around which revolve the themes of fertility, maternity, union, power, and eroticism as well as the female principle of the universe. Prominence is given to the subject and minimal graphic references as forms of interpreting the myth, such as golden drops, which make up the image of the event in the two reading perspectives (from history to modern times). The logotype printed in gold pantone characterises the booklet, wrapping around the cover and flaps.
