Metodo Studio developed the visual identity of the exhibition “L’offensiva di carta. La Grande Guerra illustrata, dalla collezione Luxardo al fumetto contemporaneo” (The Great War: an illustrated journey through time, from the Luxardo Collection to modern-day comics), curated by Giovanna Durì, Luca Giuliani and Anna Villari and held at the Castle of Udine.
The exhibition documented the activity of the “Propaganda Service” through a display of trench magazines disseminated between 1914 and 1918 and currently part of the Luxardo collection. Also on show American animation as well as interpretations of contemporary illustrators. The visual identity developed by Metodo favoured a non-invasive approach to the heterogeneity of the artefacts on display. The recurring element of the diagonal echoed the design of the exhibition’s logo and developed it in the visual materials of the event (posters, postcards, banners ..) and in infographics and explanations in the hall.
