An overview of Italian art during the Novecento at the Civic Museum in Bassano del Grappa, with 90 works by artists who are carefully selected by the taste and trends of the most illuminated private Italian collectors. An extraordinary sequence, from private Italian collections, of more than 50 works by great masters of Italian painting and sculpting, like Balla, De Chirico, Campigli, De Pisis, Morandi, Guttuso, Sironi, Fontana, Manzù and Martini, illustrates the development of Italian art in the twentieth century: from futurism to metaphysics, through to the many experiences of the post second world war period, from abstract to Arte Povera. A project completed with the art direction of Paolo Palma
