A life taken at face value and with gusto, writes Roberto Masiero in the preface, a long-time friend of Antonello Pessot, entrepreneur in the food sector.

It is the story of a life placed in the hands of grandchildren. Episodes, anecdotes, vicissitudes linked together in the name of taste, flavours and smells, good food, and recipes jealously preserved and handed down in the warmth of the home. We took Pessot’s writing, collected by Professor Masiero, and revised it, giving it a simple graphic layout, cadencing the various chapters. A selection of accompanying images, taken from a sort of family album, bring the memories to life. How we would like to be custodians of our grandparents’ lives, to have their words in our hands, to read and re-read them.
